FUNdamentals 2016
The 2016 FUNdamentals event at Oatland Island tops over 100+ students again this year!
CEBA registered 99 students for the Basic Beekeeping and 19 students for the Advanced Topics on Feb 27th. This was supported by 4 Instructors and 19 volunteers to make this event a success.
A special thanks to the Oatland Island Wildlife Center and their attending staff for helping coordinate both the beekeepers and the hundreds of visitors that pass through the trails at Oatland Island.
CEBA really wishes to thank all of the students for their interest in beekeeping and their participation in this event. Without this level of interest, such an event would not be taking place. CEBA also hopes that this is a stepping stone for beginners to enter the world of beekeeping, taking on both a challenge and responsibility to be good stewards of apis millifera,
We thought we would toss in a few photos for those who missed it!!
CEBA always reserves the final 30 minutes of the FUNdamentals event for an open forum with all the instructors & students. Students got a strong impression that these instructors seems to have a stage routine that automatically engages when they sit down to talk about honeybees! If you weren’t there, you really missed a great event. So please follow CEBA at www.cebeekeeping.com and mark your calendars for February 2017! It will be the tenth anniversary and CEBA is planning big!
