CEBA Apiary Status
This July weather is HOT, but several beekeepers braved the heat to check up on the bees at Oatland. It is amazing how many people are visiting the OIWC on the weekends and our CEBA Shack is now turning heads with the new look!!! Lee Trzecieski and a guest, Mr. Steve Miller (who is considering beekeeping if he can convince his wife), joined me today to take a look at several hives. read more4th Annual Honey Winners
CEBA experienced an education surrounding the Welsh Honey Judging Contest! Members from CEBA and other invited guest had the opportunity to submit samples of their honey in classes of Extracted Honey, Black Jar, Chunk/Cut Comb categories. Members were also welcomed to bring any MISC items from artwork to beeswax, in order to have it reviewed by Marcy Cornell. Nearly two dozen beekeepers showed up to find out how their honey and technique’s in handling honey stacked up under a Certified Welsh Honey Judge!
